Argentina Reaches Copa America Final
Unbeaten Streak Continues
Argentina has extended its unbeaten streak to nine matches in the Copa America after a 1-0 victory over Ecuador in Group A on Saturday. The win ensures Argentina will finish top or second in the group and advance to the knockout stage.
Angel Di Maria scored the only goal of the match in the 59th minute, curling a beautiful shot into the top corner of the net from outside the box. The goal was Di Maria's first for Argentina since the 2021 Copa America final, which Argentina won 1-0 over Brazil.
Argentina has now won three of its four matches in the group stage, with its only draw coming against Chile in its opening match. The team has scored seven goals and conceded just one in the tournament.
Argentina will face Brazil in the final on Saturday at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. Brazil has also won three of its four matches in the group stage, with its only defeat coming against Colombia.
